"Père Fouras gets out his claws", the headline for Fort Boyard (France 2, Sat; next ep RTBF La Une, Fri). While the tigers have gone off to a nice pension, the motif - and the humans - remain. Opposite on TF1, Les 12 coups: le combat de maîtres spécial 12 ans, a one-off primetime ultra-championship match between 12 of the greatest contenders of all time.

Later in the week, Pékin Express returns to M6 (Wed), six celebrity couples try to trek overland in and around Sri Lanka. Lancer l'horloge! La carte aux trésors is back on France 3 (Wed); this week around Esterel on the Côte d'Azur. TF1 rounds off the week with Le Grand Quiz, hosted by Hélène Mannarino with 150 studio people and some celebs; the theme is "special memories".

Ich setz auf dich comes to RTL on Saturday: it's a reboot of You Bet!, with the audience voting for their favourite stunt of the night. ZDF has the classic Der Quiz-Champion. Schlag den Star is on Pro7 and bothersbar.co.uk; Robin Goosens and Rurik Gislason are the two footballmen.

New to weekday daytimes: Familien-Kochduell on NDR - appetisers in 20 minutes, mains in 40 minutes, for three people, on a budget of 100€ across the week. RTL's Der König der Kindsköpfe has come back on Tuesday - three celebs (Martin Rütter, Olivier Pocher, Guido Cantz) set each other challenges and the winner stays on for next week.

For the Dutch-speakers, I want your song (SBS6, Fri) looks interesting. It's a show looking for singer-songwriters, who pitch their demos to an established star - and 100 of their fans in the studio. Whichever song the star picks becomes their new single, on all streaming services once the episode's gone out.
