Biography
Born in 1947, Nicholas Owen spent twenty years in the press, including seven years at the Financial Times. He moved to television with the BBC in 1981, and transferred to ITN three years later, becoming first the economics correspondent, and later their royal correspondent. He used to present Channel 4 News, and hosted the lunchtime bulletin on ITV for several years. He moved to the BBC in 2007.
Nicholas Owen is not to be confused with Nick Owen, the former TV-AM presenter (who, coincidentally, was also born in 1947).
Trivia
