Biography
Enormously successful composer of stage musicals, with credits including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Cats, Phantom of the Opera and Sunset Boulevard. Nowadays more active as an impresario, casting revivals of old musicals through reality-style TV talent searches.
Trivia
He is the older brother of cellist Julian Lloyd Webber.
He was knighted in 1992 and made a life peer in 1997.
