Biography
Born in Liverpool and raised in Lancashire, Krishnan was 18 when he landed his first TV presenting gig in 1988, on the BBC's young peoples' discussion show Open to Question. He presented Newsround from 1991 to 1994, was a reporter and producer for Newsnight from 1994 to 1997, and was one of the launch presenters for what was then BBC News 24. He joined Channel 4 News in 1998, and is now that programme's second-longest-serving presenter after Jon Snow.
Trivia
His sister, Geeta, is also a journalist and presented on the rechristened BBC News Channel until its merger with the BBC World News channel in 2023.
