Biography
Comic actor turned erstwhile desk reporter to Esther Rantzen on BBC consumer show That's Life!. With fellow That's Lifer Paul Heiney, he got himself into all sorts of difficult situations in the original In At The Deep End (before Hale and Pace). Also noted for fronting the mid-80s BBC clip show Windmill, computer education show Making the Most of the Micro, Points of View and various charity appeals.
Prior to his work on That's Life, Chris had worked as a producer on BBC radio. His hand produced Right or Wrong? throughout its short run, and series of Three in a Row, Beat the Record, and Brain of Britain.
His death at age 81 was announced in September 2024.
