Synopsis

ITV's 21st anniversary gave ample excuse to launch this relatively early nostalgia delve.

Three celebrities, all playing for a chosen charity, were asked questions based on clips from a variety of ITV shows, some probably better remembered than others.

Any wrong answers saw the points put into a jackpot, which was doubled and converted into pounds at the end - with the winner picking a fourth charity from a cup.

A relatively straight-laced Barry Cryer was replaced for the third (and final series) by future Bullseye co-devisor Norman Vaughan, who struggled to keep a steady hand on the revised format involving two teams of three.

The charity element remained - with the winning team's points doubled, then multiplied by ten before being turned into cash.

An amiable effort from one of ITV's 'middle league' outposts, although it largely depended on the regions as to if or when it was shown.

Trivia

The 1977 Christmas edition featured Aimi Macdonald, Nerys Hughes, Jack Douglas, Patrick Mower, Lance Percival and Willie Rushton.
