Biography
Middlesbrough-born actor who appeared in several Norman Wisdom films, usually playing upper-crust characters coming into conflict with Wisdom. He was also known for presenting Housewives' Choice on BBC radio's Light Programme. He committed suicide in 1967 after a bout of depression following the death of his wife.
