Biography
Stockport-born actress who rose to fame playing Shelley Unwin in Coronation Street. She's also had recurring roles in, among other things, Mount Pleasant, Still Open All Hours and Scott & Bailey, as well as having been a Loose Women panellist. More recently she's played the titular amateur detective in the Channel 5 hit The Madame Blanc Mysteries which she also co-writes.
Appears to have found a niche as a locum, having filled in for Warwick Davis on Tenable and Stephen Mulhern on The Big Quiz, and was Alexander Armstrong's first temporary Pointless Friend following the departure of Richard Osman.
