Trivia

The first special pitted Les Dennis against Bob Mortimer as part of the fundraising event Sport Relief, with the victor Bob Mortimer hosting the second special, where Ricky Gervais beat Grant Bovey, which to our surprise was voted No. 94 by the public on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Christmas Moments in December 2004.

A series was planned for 2003, which would have pit Tony Hadley against John Pienaar, Donal McIntyre against Darren Day, the then-MSP Tommy Sheridan against the pundit Gordon Smith and the former Rangers player Ian Durrant against Peter Grant. However, after the second special, the British Boxing Board of Control threatened to revoke the licenses of the celebrities' trainers on the grounds the fights were unsafe for anyone above 35, and the Beeb eventually had to postpone the series. Interestingly, John Pienaar was originally to face Boris Johnson.
