Established in 1985, Mentorn is one of the UK's longest established independent television production companies. In 1997, it was merged with Barraclough Carey Productions to become Mentorn Barraclough Carey, which was owned at the time by The Television Corporation in 1999 until 2006 where it was purchased by Tinopolis with the Barraclough Carey merger name being dropped to just simply Mentorn.
