Definition:
Programmes made by Granada Television.

One of the original four ITV companies (along with Associated-Rediffusion, ATV and ABC), Granada began broadcasting on 3 May 1956. At first, it served the North of England (including Yorkshire) on Mondays to Fridays, with ABC broadcasting at weekends. Following a reorganisation of the ITV franchises, Granada served the North West for the full week from 29 July 1968, the Yorkshire area passing to Yorkshire Television.

Having survived all the ITV franchise rounds, Granada took advantage of relaxed regulations in the 1990s by buying several other ITV companies, including LWT and Yorkshire TV. On 2 February 2004, it merged with Carlton Communications to form ITV plc, which now owns all the ITV franchises bar the two held by STV in Scotland. The Granada brand continued to be used by ITV plc's in-house production arm until late 2008, when the arm became known as ITV Studios.
