Created in 1968, Associated Rediffusion merged with ABC to form Thames as the ITV broadcaster in London from Monday to Friday. In 1993, Thames lost their license and was replaced by Carlton. Thames was bought by Pearson International (now FremantleMedia) in 1996, and lost its identity following a merger into Talkback in 2003. Shows made by this TalkbackThames company are listed in Category:Talkback Productions. The "Thames" credit was revived in 2012 for Fremantle's non-comedy entertainment programmes.
